Notification Management: How to Manage Notification

 

Go to your Magento backend, select Simiconnector/Connetor Settings/Notification/ Manage Notifications. To add a custom notification, click on Add Notification button.

Step 1: Configure Notification Content

  • Store View: Select the store you want to send notification. Each one contains another list of services.
  • Send To: Select the device you want to send: Test App or Live App
  • Show Popup: If you choose Yes, there will be a popup showing up on mobile screen when notification comes.
  • Device Type: Send to either Android, IOS device or both (All). Recommend to send to only Android or
  • Title, Image, Message: It comprises title, image, and message of the popup that you want to show on mobile screen.
  • Direct viewers to: Choose where the customers will be directed to. There are 3 options for you to choose

1. Product In- app: Open the product you have selected.

Product ID: you can select products you want to show with your customers

2. Category In- app: Open the category you have selected.

Category ID: you can select the category you want to show with your customers.

3. Website Page: Open the Web Page you have selected.
URL: The link of webpage you want to show.

Step 2: Select devices you want to push notification.

With this section, you can choose to individually push to one or a group of you customers based on the below criteria.

  • ID: The number indicated when the device is added
  • Device Type: Type of device you want to send notification to (Android, iPhone,iPad or both)
  • Customer Email: The email that customers used to register with their devices <Recommendation: it is better that you send notification to one platform (Android or iOS) at a time>
  • Country, State/Province, City, Zip Code: Address, country, state, city, zip code you want to send notification to (E.g. 311 Wall street, United States)
  • Created Date: The date that this device was added
  • Is Demo:
    • NO: send notifications to Live apps (published on app stores)
    • YES: send notifications to Test apps (not published on app stores). Important: You need to fill simicart.enterprise into App Id field to filter correct demo apps.

After finishing, you can choose to Send the notification at once or Save and Continue Edit it. You can see all the list of notifications showing on Simiconnector/Connector Settings/Notifications History where you can review, edit and resend them anytime.

In the following sections, we will show you some example cases of pushing notification.

1. Push to iOs Test App: Send notification to all the iOS Devices you use to download apps by scanning QR Code from SimiCart’s dashboard.

  • In Notification Content section
    • Fill all requires information.
    • Send to: Test App
    • Device Type: iOS App
  • In Notification Devices Select section
    • Clear all Devices IDs
    • Filter the list of devices: Device Type = iPhone; Is Demo = YES; App Id = com.simicart.enterprise and click Then click Select All for all pages.

    • Filter the list of devices: Device Type = iPad; Is Demo = YES; App Id = com.simicart.enterprise and click Then click Select All for all pages.

After finishing, click on  “Send” button to send the notification

2. Push to iOs Live App: Send notification to all of your customers, who use iOS app (Download app on Apple Store). This is only applied when your app has already been available on Apple Store.

  • In Notification Content section
    • Fill out all required information.
    • Send to: Live App
    • Device Type: iOS App
  • In Notification Devices Select section
    • Clear all Devices IDs
    • Filter list devices: Device Type = iPhone; Is Demo = NO; App Id = <Identifier Key> and click Then click Select All for all pages.

    • Filter list devices: Device Type = iPad; Is Demo = NO; App Id = <Identify key> and click Then click Select All for all pages.

After finishing, click on “Send” button to send the notification

3. Push to Android Test App: Send notification to all the Android Devices you use to download apps by scanning QR Code from SimiCart’s dashboard.

  • In Notification Content section
    • Fill all requires information.
    • Send to: Test App
    • Device Type: Android App
  • In Notification Devices Select section
    • Clear all Devices IDs
    • Filter list devices: Device Type = Android; Is Demo = YES; App Id = com.simicart.enterprise and click Then click Select All for all pages.

After finishing, click “Send” button to send the notification

4. Push to Android Live App: Send notification to all of your customers, who use Android app (Download app on Google Play). This is only applied only when your app has already been available on Google Play.

  • In Notification Content section
    • Fill all requires information.
    • Send to: Live App
    • Device Type: Android App
  • In Notification Devices Select section
    • Clear all Devices IDs
    • Filter list devices: Device Type = Android; Is Demo = NO; App Id = < Identify key> and click Then click Select All for all pages.

After finishing, click on “Send” button to send the notification
